11:32 pm - A trip a trip for me! I leave tomorrow for a two week trip. One week at festival, and one week in Boston. I have made very little plans for either just a general wander. I have a backpack and a duffle and two weeks and a lot of ground to cover. LOL, it should be fun crazy and exciting. It has been a very long time since I was in Boston and I am very very excited. If you want to reach me text me or call me.

06:31 am - Life and Art Tomorrow we head to Spank for 4 days playing and romping. I will be shooting and playing and generally enjoying myself. I am feeling happy and sleepy today. The studio is coming along, it's a nice little nook tucked in the basement. I have drapery, trees furniture, a coffin and some art projects that are rolling along. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0uCKMchf68k/SixszSMCGgI/AAAAAAAAAE8/XAn9h6IeJTI/s1600-h/stella609-2sm.jpg Below is a sample of an image from last week, I have a shoot today at 11.

08:01 am - Finding a pace I'm still finding it hard to find a good pace to work at. I have the phones and email from 6:30-11 or so, usually not bad, but I'm not really away till 9 or 10 so I just feel groggy, LOL. I know I'm not sleeping enough because we never no matter what time we go to bed get to sleep until midnight. Sometimes later yikes. Chuckle.
So then I take a little break maybe an hour or two at the most sometimes a nap is a part of that. Then I hit the boards, do some posting or as I will today and have when I'm working on a web project I grab my sketch pad and start working.
Sometimes it's art to make sometimes its pages to build.
This new web project is huge.
I have to run through the site online that they currently have and redesign the frow of it (it's mess) Then I have to redesign the navigation and also design and build a whole new template (because the site they have is crap).
Then its a matter of putting all the current content into a nice clean modern and professional designed web site.
But I have talked to my programmer and he assures me it will be OK, just start out with a good plan and a clean template and all will be fine:) This really is the biggest project I have taken on. Quite exciting just in the planning so far. An the fast that the client has so much faith in my abilities. I really have found ways around problems and put out fires for them and planned things well so that we could get then to this place where they can do this with their site.
Finally all the years working in corporate are starting to pay off;P Current Location: office working Current Mood: accomplished Current Music: Breath- Anna Nalick

08:32 am - It's Dark Day Last nights very severe storm from 2-4 was more than I could sleep through. But after unplugging the puters and spending a bit of time on the porch watching the storm rage. I crawled into bed and snuggled toast and talked to a friend on the phone for a bit then I put toast over my eyes and pretended the flashes were strobes...
Anyhow it's very dark and very wicked out now and I have the windows open but soon I will have to close them as the storm blows through.
Its almost night time dark right now, I'll go put cozy things on and sit on the porch and watch the lightning cause I hate working when its bad and well I shut the puters down to protect them.
BOOM! Bye for the duration. Current Mood: anxious Current Music: wind and thunder

05:06 pm - FRACK! How could someone loose my softbox shade!!! Ok have light kit box, have light, have ring mounts (some ass hat took it apart) Have 4 umbrellas and covers and no soft box actual cloth cover (eve have the little metal rods) Weird (messed up) Sgh now I have to go lay all the little pieces out in a row, dig through the yards and yards of material and look for the stupid cover.
I could scream (I can't afford to get another one) honestly I want to cry this stinks.
Stupid people who use other peoples equipment and don't put it away properly or even in the right place.
Sigh, I cant afford to replace it and shooting in a studio I need my soft box.
Frack, and the last time I used it the sync cord didn't work right.
Now I can put the ring together (why would anyone take the ring apart it snaps in).
Crime!
Growl snap! I am mad as hell. Current Location: in hell. Current Mood: aggravated Current Music: none

10:13 am - Morning Rituals It is my morning ritual to get up wander around and check on things, start the computer look at the plants download mail and check in on my friends and lovers. I then make coffee look to see if my shutters and chairs are on the porch;) I really want a nice comfy chair for out side (at camp someone had a round soft chair I loved it I covet it bad;) This morning I'm reading the list from all my friends who are going to festival (it starts this weekend and goes for two weeks) I miss it more each year). I came by the group through my previous partner F, they were his tribe. I acquired them. I never felt apart of the group, really always an outsider, as I get older I know that they would have excepted me if I had ever made myself accessible but I am a shy and strange creature and so afraid of rejection that I close myself off. I brought people in to the group and they are still there, that makes me happy even if I can't be a part of it myself. Seeing who and what you are so early in the morning is a bit bruising. Sigh, for all those on here who are from that group I love you thank you. One day I would like to return. Have a wonderful and beautiful day. 10:01 am - Wonderful morning:) Rolled out of the pillow pile on the bed we have 8 pillows on the bed including a body pillow and two king pillows:) They make a nice pile for me to cuddle when truckerspike is away when he is here they live on the floor so there is room for him;)
I visited the plants who are still wet from the rain (one box) had little baby mushrooms growing in it) OK so my watering madness got a little crazy yesterday;)
I got some iced coffee to sleepy to make coffee and its nice to be cool, there is a nice cool breeze coming in the windows and the fan is high, LOL gonna turn it down I have goose bumps, oh don't get me wrong its gonna warm up today but it was only 70 last night. First cool night in almost a month.
The G5 is up playing Itunes I got my sound system hooked up and am chilling with tunes my laptop for this and transferring files from the PC. Yes that's right I have three computers on my desk (it's silly) the PC is pushed to the back and I'm a two computer girl.
Sigh, nice day, I hope my baby has an OK with orientation, the next couple of days are gonna stink and I wont get to talk to him much at all, that makes me sad and lonely. I worry about him. It's time for him to be off the road and soon he will be I know it.
Ok back to transferring the web sites to the G5! Current Location: Office working Current Music: Hand in my pocket - Alanis Morissette

01:33 pm - The Mad Garden Scientist Lives! I love trying to come up with cool ways of doing things. I have these flower boxes on the balcony and I need to find a way for them to get water while I am away. Oh and to all my Chicago friends who I was going to visit next week... I won't be able to to visit:( My sucky Boston client is refusing to pay and well I have a big project that I need to tend too... And honestly with my boy just heading back to work on Tuesday I can't do it. I should be able to make a trip in a couple of weeks though. I'm sorry.
Anyhow back to my project which is not ready yet. Take a large soda bottle 2 liter cut the bottom off and put hole in the cap 4 holes way to many! Contents emptied into the box and drained out in less than 5 minutes. 1 hole still drains to fast. Emptied out and drained in 20 minutes, watering the plant below... Note if you arrange the plants below the boxes you can two tier water!
OK I'm gonna not cut of the bottom of the last bottle but to see if I can salvage the the bottle with 4 holes still, Im gonna put some cheese cloth in the cap!
I'm always thinking, maybe photos later if it goes well.
Hmmmmm, back to cleaning now. Current Location: survaying the water damage on the balcony. Current Mood: accomplished Current Music: Only the tune in my head right now...

06:45 am - What's your porn? Last night when chatting with truckerspike while I was surfing around I kept making happy noises, he asked "What are you looking at?" I told him http://www.calumetphoto.com/ he laughed. I know I know its strange, but traditional porn leaves me cold. I get all caught up in what's wrong with it, perhaps it's because I shot with a great site some years back, only some of it was hard core, most of it was Fetish with sex and a lot of BDSM, so well I have issues with most of what's out there;)
Anyhow photo gear sites (and the Nikon site) thrill me. Hey truckerspike surfs the food network the same way I surf mine so there you have it.
Chuckle, so what do you like to surf?
I also cruise Artist photography sites but that's for inspiration;) Current Location: in bed still Current Mood: cheerful

11:31 pm - Grrrrrr annoyances. Photoshop album even though it has a nice previewer is not smooth, my PC laptop only has photoshop 7 on it. Even though it's mostly ok for working the browser stinks, and looking at over 500 images to sort is impossible, anyhow what do the other photographers use for sorting images from shoots, I would love to know:) I will finish the first run through (I'm only about 50-70 images left, I just ahve to keep stopping because I feel kind of queezy looking at the jagged preview, I click it to look at it big and that's fine but its the mass sort that's horrible. OK I know I'm a baby;)
What viewer / program do you use?
I'm gonna go take a bubble bath I deserve it;) Current Location: In the bath Current Mood: accomplished

11:30 pm - Oh my! My brain is toast. Chuckle, shoot was from 2-8:40 when the wonderful and beautiful model called UNCLE;) I was done too, but I would have kept going till I dropped. I would say I have not had such a wonderful shoot for perhaps maybe 4 years. It was grand, great model no histrionics, no bad temper no panic attach (I'm not sure I know how to deal with that;)
We stopped shooting and went for dinner talked tons then got sleepy had Creme Brulee and then none of us could speak.
I'm burning disks now (so I won't have to in the morning before they leave, I will still be sleepy then:)
We couldn't even look at all the images (we will do that tomorrow (she's already sleeping and I will be soon). Current Mood: accomplished

11:48 pm - I am very lucky:)

You are The Wheel of Fortune
Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success
The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.
